CHOSEN: A Night of Worship this Friday in Louisville

A moment to renew, reconnect & to reach those in need of spiritual healing

(Louisville, KY) Author, entrepreneur & community leader Dr, Ashley Cham is personally inviting you to a night of spiritual healing. The CHOSEN Ministry presents CHOSEN: A Night of Worship on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church located at 3815 W. Broadway. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Admission is free but accepting offering.

The following have graciously agreed to be a part of the program: Tamecka Kinnard-Outten, Lyric Mullins, Johnathan Johnson, Chanson Calhoun Bellamy, Jarrell White and Ministries of Christ. Minstrels participating will be Darnell Craig, Jarius Jones, Curtis Jones II and Jordan Allen.

The evening will be filled with a night of ministry featuring faith leaders from all over the city of Louisville. Dr. Cham says ‘I chose these psalmists to be a part of this vision of meeting people where they are. These leaders work in the community and in their congregation. They have their pulse on the city and what it needs currently. I want people to come to leave their worries at the altar, open their minds and hearts and take in the messages being delivered. Then I am asking them to receive and share with those around them. There’s so much noise around us right now. This event is about clarity, and I invite the community to come and worship with us.”

The CHOSEN Ministry is the vision of Dr. Cham after the release of her latest book CHOSEN Jewels From Queen Esther’s Crown. It was created to help awaken women to their own potential and inspire all of us to create positive change in the world around us.

CHOSEN Jewels From Queen Esther’s Crown

WHEN YOU ARE ‘CHOSEN’ YOU ARE ASKED TO WEAR THE CROWN AND ALL THAT IT BEARS

Dr. Ashley Cham shares the power of Esther and her story of perseverance

(Louisville, KY) CHOSEN Jewels From Queen Esther’s Crown is the latest book authored by business and community leader Dr, Ashley Cham.

Dr. Cham explains the story of Esther in the bible. Each jewel tells a piece of the story. When you have a calling on your life you have just as many setbacks. The CHOSEN are always being tested showing that you have a higher calling. The story unveils the sacrifice it takes to wear the crown.

The book explores Esther’s story. Becoming the queen of Persia and courageously saves her people from annihilation. It takes you through her strength, courage, faith, and divine providence in the face of adversity. It also reminds you that no struggle is too big for God. “Just because he is not mentioned throughout the verses does not mean he was not present. Which brings another poignant observation. Just because it is not mentioned does not mean it is there, says Dr. Cham.”

She goes on to say “In a world where so many women are searching for meaning and impact, Esther’s story is both timeless and urgent. CHOSEN brings to life a season in history when a young woman’s courage and wisdom altered the fate of an entire people—a reminder that even those who feel ordinary are capable of extraordinary influence. Esther was able to change her stars, stepping into a purpose that neither she nor anyone around her could have imagined. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power that comes from recognizing one’s worth and boldly walking in one’s calling.

In current times, more than ever, we need to lift up stories like Esther’s—stories that awaken women to their own potential and inspire all of us to create positive change in the world around us.” You can find in Esther 4:14, that God places individuals in specific, difficult positions for a divine purpose. This is where the common phrase, ‘For such a time as this’ comes from.

Dr. Cham says, ‘Find your crowned calling’ and step out on faith and be fearless in the battles you face today.’

We are excited to share that Dr. Cham is hosting a CHOSEN Jewels From Queen Esther’s Crown book launch which includes a book signing will take place on Sunday, March 8th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center, 3029 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.

CHOSEN Jewels From Queen Esther’s Crown

SUCCESSFUL ENTRPRENEUR & KENTUCKY NATIVE ROBYN CUNNINGHAM BRINGS AWARENESS TO THE SILENT KILLER OF SUICIDE

What looks like a perfect life to some is masking depression, stress and feeling of hopelessness

Frankfort, Ky- — Entrepreneur Robyn Kay Cunningham pens her first short story.  Her newly released book is entitled ‘My Journey To Faith’ A Short Story.   The successful owner of DB Bourbon Candy takes you through her life. Facing grief of loved ones to serve in the military during the time of war.  This veteran learned to suppress her feelings until they felt like she could not go on.  Using her faith and understanding that she has so much to live for and a support system helped her reimagine life.

This short story is a conversation piece and a story of overcoming the unbearable.  Cunningham is telling her story to help others that feel alone.  She says, ‘Recently, I have seen so many people take their lives through suicide and I want them to know that you can bounce back but it takes time.  You cannot give up on yourself.  You cannot be ashamed of your struggles.  It makes you who you are.  My life just kept hitting me with so much at one time.  It just kept piling on. I made mistakes but I am here today to say I have a testimony, and I feel if I can change one life then it was worth telling it.”

Cunningham adds “I used my faith to overcome some of the things I was going through but when you read my story you will understand how difficult it was and I begin to question so many things.  I had to step back to catch my breath because the very people who showed me with love had no idea that when I saw them it caused me to keep reliving memories I was trying to forget.  So, it felt like I could never heal.  I know so many people are feeling like this and I was to be a voice to those suffering in silence.  You can heal.”

Today, Suicide is the 11thleading cause of death in the U.S. according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Data & Statistics Fatal Injury Report for 2023. The report also says suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10-34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35 and 44.

In 2023, National Survey of Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), an estimated 12.8 million adults age 18 or older reported having thoughts of suicide, and 1.5 million (0.6%) adults attempted suicide during the past year.

Cunningham is open to sharing her story with your group and/or organization.  She can be a part of your next panel discussion, book signing and/or be a featured speaker.  Please contact VIPP Communications at info@vippcommunications.com or contact our office at 502-341-7306 for availability.
